Sludge drying Unit ( efficient and scientific disposal of the Resultant sludge from STP/ETPs)
We adopt the technology of direct low temperature drying for sludge . The direct low
temperature drying makes hot effect on sludge, producing high thermal efficiency. Low
temperature also protects organism in the sludge from splitting and volatilization, while the
circulation of the hot air takes only water out from the sludge.
The sludge with moisture content 80% , enters into the oven from above, it is cut into
granules or strips by the slicing machine, and falls into the slow-moving mesh belt by gravity .
The temperature of circulating air entering the drying oven can be controlled between 60 ~70
℃, Humidity < 10% (@ 60 ℃). The dry air absorbs the moisture of the sludge and leaves the
drying box, the humid air temperature is controlled at 30~40 ℃ and the humidity is >50%.
The wet air enters the cooler regenerator ( Heat Exchanger ) , dehumidifies in the condenser
and returns the volatile organic compounds to the liquid phase after condensation, and the
condensed water can be discharged directly to the homogenizer for further treatment. The
whole drying process take place without exhaust gas emissions, doesn’t need any additional
agents.
Sludge generated from filter press, belt filter, screw press or centrifugal dehydrator
with 80%~85% water content could be reduced to less than 20% water content of treated dry
sludge. The system can be operated efficiently under normal humidity and temperature of
the environment.
Our system is suitable for dispersing, drying and centralized disposal of urban sewage
sludge and can solve the problem of difficult disposal of urban sewage sludge.

Phase – II Burning of sludge to generate heat for Phase – I
The resultant ASH is almost 5-7 % of the Sludge volume (dependent on the composition of the sludge ) Running cost of our system is Minimal and works with calorific value of 1800-2000 that the dried digested sludge have as compared to other system that requires high Calorific value and non digested sludge .
